• Their customers are mainly interested in electronic delivery of print documents, specifically peer-reviewed articles, typically via PDF.
• Traditional scholarly apparatus of citations, etc. is important.
• There is some interest in use of XML, especially for information management, e.g. blibliographic metadata.
• Journal costs are a major issue.
